Open data
Many products on Cillino come from Open Food Facts, the free food database. Its licence, the Open Database License, asks us to share everything we built from it, with our changes, under the same licence. Here it is, in full.

What has different rights
- US label data comes from USDA FoodData Central and is in the public domain. Get it from the USDA.
- Photos are by Open Food Facts contributors under CC BY-SA 3.0, each credited on its product and on Sources & credits. The photo records are in the download; the photos are not.
- Cillino’s own work: the website, its software, and how we read labels and suggest pairings.
- Ratings, reviews and photos from members will come with their own terms when accounts open.
On this site
The website loads its data in separate files: Open Food Facts–derived products and photo records (both ODbL), and US products (/data/products.json). Which file is which.
