About Cillino
Cillino helps you find hot sauces and BBQ sauces by what you’re eating and by flavor, using what is printed on real labels.
Where the information comes from
- US products: ingredient labels published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in FoodData Central (public domain).
- European products and many photos: Open Food Facts, the free, collaborative food database, under the Open Database License. Photos are by Open Food Facts contributors under CC BY-SA 3.0 and are credited on every product page and on Sources & credits.
- Flavors and pairings are Cillino’s own reading of each ingredient list (order and wording), shown with the evidence. We never taste-test, score or guess heat; when a label says too little, we say so.
Photos and illustrations
A product shows a real photo only when we have checked that the photo shows exactly that product. Otherwise you see a generic illustration, clearly labelled “Illustration”.
What isn’t here yet
Accounts, ratings and reviews are coming. Until then there are no ratings on Cillino, and your shelf lives only on your device.
